Stretch has the simple aim of encouraging people to stretch correctly in a fun and fulfilling way, less serious than Yoga, faster than Pilates
The three foundations of fitness are stamina, strength & flexibility. Many people’s concept of fitness is all about the cardio training or strength and the most neglected component is flexibility. Stretch is aimed at improving flexibility.
Tight hamstrings, sore muscles and poor core strength can affect your whole posture leading to discomfort. Back problems so often stem from tight muscles and lack of mobility, it’s not just stiff backs that need movement but tight hamstrings and hip flexors will affect our posture and our backs. Too often I see people in my classes or during PT sessions struggling with an exercise due to tight muscles so why not try a stretch class to increase your range of movement, decrease your risk of injury and hopefully improve your quality of life.
A session can be booked for 30, or 45 minutes or combined with a Pilates session.
